Guy has worked as a licensed plumber since 1977 in residential and then the commercial sector. He managed large industrial job sites throughout Ontario, Canada as well as in the state of Vermont. Due to a work injury in Vermont, Guy was unable to continue with this type of work. He purchased The BrickKicker franchise in 2003 and has never looked back. It is the perfect way for Guy to utilize his extensive knowledge of the construction trades to offer his clients an informative inspection experience.

Diane is the office manager and scheduling person working with Guy . She specializes in working with clients regarding the inspection process and environmental testing inquiries. In the past Diane has worked as a licensed real estate professional in the Toronto area, a legal assistant with a large local real estate firm here in Vermont and a closing coordinator for a real estate company. With this extensive real estate background, Diane is well versed in client care and getting things done in a timely and professional manner.
Together, Guy and Diane combine their knowledge of construction and the real estate industry and are able to offer their clients and real estate professionals unsurpassed service. The goal is to ensure that the inspection process is timely and hassle free.

Radon is a naturally occurring gas caused by the decomposition of uranium. This is found in our soil throughout the world. The challenge is, when a home is built over any level of radon the gas could enter the home. Scientist have proven that Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer but can easily be repaired. It is only through testing for radon gas can you determine a repair is needed.
While a traditional home inspection is designed to look at the elements of an existing home a new construction inspection can go one step further. The BrickKicker inspector is trained to also look at the quality of the construction and help you prepare the Contractor’s Punch-list. This is a list of items found in new construction which are either incomplete, missing or completed in a less than qualify manner.
You do not have to live in a rural community or have a private well to be concerned about water quality. Older pipes could be dirty or clogged, newer pipes could be constructed out of materials which are known to have issues. The BrickKicker is aware of these concerns and can either provide testing for you or help you arrange to have your water tested.
